The meetings of the Carolina Mountain Woodturners are free and open to the public.
Meetings are held
from 10 AM to 4:00 PM the third Saturday of each month (with occasional
exceptions).
We meet at the
Folk-Art Center
on the Blue Ridge Parkway in East Asheville:
From Interstate 40: Take Exit Number 55 to Highway 70,
which is Tunnel Road. Turn left and go about one mile to the Blue
Ridge Parkway. Go underneath the Parkway and exit right, onto the Parkway
entrance ramp. At the stop sign, turn left (north) onto the Parkway. Go
approximately one half mile and the Folk Art Center is on the left.
From Downtown Asheville: Take US Highway 70 East (Tunnel
Road) to the Parkway. Go underneath the Parkway and exit right, onto the Parkway
entrance ramp. At the stop sign, turn right (north) onto the Parkway. Go
approximately one half mile and the Folk Art Center is on the left.
There is ample parking but please park in the lower lot and leave the spaces close to the front door in
the upper lot for visitors to the Folk Art Center. Go in the front entrance. The auditorium
is immediately on the left.
Light refreshments are served
but please bring a lunch or plan on running out to one of the nearby
fast food establishments on Tunnel Road. |
